System Back Up
Ideally, serious information security demands that you back up your entire system on a regular basis. If this isnīt practical, at least backup files that you canīt afford to lose or that would be difficult to replace: documents, bookmark files, address books, important E-mail, etc.
Firewall Software
Data security loss can happen by accident as well as from failed computer security. Back up your data files at least once a week. Daily is better. Trying to back up your files after you have a problem does not work very well if at all. Turn on the automatic update feature in Microsoft Windows for "critical updates". If your software has built-in security and privacy features, use them in addition to third party internet security programs.
